Physical DescriptionBeige leather jacket with colorful "NASCAR Unites" leather logo stitched on the front. The left sleeve has a purple leather Homestead Miami Speedway logo with a green palm tree shape. Across the upper back is the black and red logo for the Joining Forces Initiative, consisting of five hand shapes that create a star. The jacket has pockets on either side of the hips and snaps closing the jacket at the center.

Historical NoteThis jacket was presented to First Lady Michelle Obama at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Ford 400 race at Homestead-Miami Speedway for a Joining Forces initiative event with military families.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
