Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionSet of three trinket boxes that look like books in brown, blue, and green. They are each painted so that the "pages" have gold edges and each have a title and an author's name. The brown box is painted to look like "The Sound and the Fury" by William Faulkner. The blue box is painted to look like "Sister Carrie" by Theodore Dreiser. The green box is painted to look like "L'Immortalite" by Milan Kundera.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration.
