Physical DescriptionA round metal relief with a center depiction of traditional Libyan architecture on a scroll. The trim of the relief has raised vine motif. Raised details on the relief have intentional patina highlighting the different elements. Beneath the center design is an inscription in English and Arabic.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of an official foreign state visit to the White House by Libyan Prime Minister Abd al-Rahim al-Keeb on March 7, 2012.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
