Physical DescriptionBlack leather folder with impressed crest of the City of Santiago. Interior of folder is red velvet with a Diploma for President Barack Obama in Spanish, with a large red wax seal of the City of Santiago Chile. The diploma has a green floral decoration that borders the writing on the left and bottom.
Historical NotePresented by Mayor Pablo Zalaquett of Santiago, Chile to President Barack Obama on the final day of his visit to the city on March 22, 2011.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
