Physical DescriptionA plaque in a wooden box. The front of the plaque depicts the Sudan and US flag crossed and is inscribed below with: "Government of Southern Sudan to H.E. President Elect Barack Obama Congratulations for your historic election as the 44th president of The United States of America Wishing you, the people of the United State of American all the best in the furtherence of peace, justice and equality for all. January 2009".

The back has a small inset with a small circular bracket attachement.
