Physical DescriptionCircular sterling silver History of Ireland brooch with engraved symbols that represent Ireland through the ages. There is a Celtic cross engraved at the center. It has a pin back and a loop attached to the reverse so it can be worn as a necklace pendant.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of an official state visit to Ireland in May 2011.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to the First Family during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
