Physical DescriptionUkulele with pink and white Swarovski crystal rhinestones in a pattern resembling the ridges on a pineapple. The fret board is dark brown and the head is a light brown wood with black tuning pegs. The back is signed in silver permanent marker.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of a fundraiser at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada in April 2009. Bette Midler played this style of ukelele during the Las Vegas run of her production"The Showgirl Must Go On" from 2008 - 2010.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
