Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionHandmade silver-toned metal with gold plating created to resemble a "plum blossom," the brooch is in the shape of a branch with welded joints for a natural shape. Attached to the metal are four pearls and a long pin back.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of a state visit by Chineses President Hu Jintao in January 2011.Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration.
