Physical DescriptionLong white alpaca wool scarf with large black faceted crystals and a strip of chainmail towards each end. Scarf is sectioned parts connected with unwoven stripes. Ends of the scarf are finished with black and white fringe that are attached in an alternating triangular pattern.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama's visit to Chile in March 2011.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
