Physical DescriptionAbstract mixed media painting on glass that depicts three lemons grouped together with abstract gold, black, silver, and copper lines and glitter. There are several figures emerging in the spaces between the lemons. There are photographs of a street scene at night incorporated into the lines at the bottom of the painting. A woman in pink curves around a green leaf in the upper left. A person wearing purple and gold with a flowing skirt is depicted in the space between lemons at the bottom. A person wearing pink and red and smoking is depicted above them, in the crevice between lemons. The background is several shades of beige.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
