Physical DescriptionWooden game board with a chessboard on one side and backgammon board that hinges at the center and has metal clasps. . The squares are inlaid pieces of dark brown and light brown wood with a border with inlaid brass-colored metal letters and numbers to identify the grid. The backgammon board is composed of brown wood with inlaid tan wood triangles. There are brown felt-lined compartments to hold the pieces on either long end.Overall - 3D (Board, one half) H 1 3/4 in x W 12 1/8 in x D 23 1/4 in (4.4 cm x 30.8 cm x 59.1 cm )
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
