Physical DescriptionThai Style Mask of "Hanuman the Ruler," a Hindu god. The face of the mask has blue eyes and is primarily white with red and green accents and embellishments. The crown is gold with white beads meant to look like diamonds. The wooden pedestal is dark brown.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of an Ambassador Credentialing Ceremony in the Oval Office on December 7, 2010.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
