Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionCeramic depiction of the Portuguese Rooster of Barcelos. Rooster's body is painted black with colorful designs on the feathers depicting flowers and hearts. The bird has a large red comb at the top of its head, yellow beak, and red wattles. The rooster stands on a domed base that is painted blue and has yellow feet painted on it.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration.
