Physical DescriptionThree-piece jewelry set composed of two earrings and a matching pendant that has a pin back allowing it to be worn as a brooch. Both earrings and the pendant are circular with an intricate lattice pattern with the metal that resembles a flower. The design is reminiscent of the traditional Panamanian "mosqueta".
Historical NoteReceived in September 2010 from First Lady of the Republic of Panama, Marta Linares De Martinelli, during the United Nations General Assembly.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
