Physical DescriptionBlue wooden 26-string harp with a flat, rectangular soundbox. The strings all attach to metal tuning pins at the neck of the harp and there are eight metal sharping levers at the neck. There is a metal attachment at the base of the pillar and along the outside edge of the sound box that can be used to attach a strap. Included with the harp is a metal and wooden tuning key (.b) and metal and wooden tuning wrench (.c).Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to Malia and Sasha Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
