Physical DescriptionOil painting on canvas that depicts a winter carnival scene. In the foreground of the painting there are colorful crowds of people, sales booths, and carnival rides. Depicted towards the left of the painting is a long bridge with crowds crossing over. The Moscow skyline is painted in pastel tones in the background.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
