Physical DescriptionBurgundy, navy blue, orange, and beige rug with wound beige fringe that runs the length of both short ends. The design of the rug is made up of a multi-layered rectangular border containing intricate geometric patterns with an intricate circular pattern throughout the rug's field. There is a burgundy, navy blue, orange, and beige checkerboard pattern that runs parallel to the fringe along both short ends, as well as a navy blue trim that runs the length of both long edges.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
