Physical DescriptionSmall religious icon with an enamel design depicting the Virgin Mary with her hands crossed over her heart in the center and framed by various gold and green geometric designs in a pointed arch shape. At the upper sides there are yellow flowers in blue circles and at the bottom there are swirling gold designs. In the top tip of the arch is an inset image depicting Jesus's face. Icon is framed by wood and has a gold-toned metal kickstand at the back.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
