Physical DescriptionSilver plated bracelet with five metal plates at the latch and rows of loose chains. The bracelet fastens with two metal pins that slide in and out. The plates have floral and swirl detailing engraved on their face. Bracelet is an adapted design of similar bracelets found in Attica and Boeotia.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of a working visit to the White House by Greek First Lady Ada Papandreou in March, 2010.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to the First Family during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
