Physical DescriptionPlaque of a poem titled "The Soldiers of Red, White and Blue." Engraved on black plastic painted gold on the front with pictures of ribbons, the flag, an airplane and a helicopter in addition to the words. Red, white, and blue bow at bottom. Star button detached from bow.
Inscriptions and MarkingsText on obverse of object: THE SOLDIER OF RED, WHITE, AND BLUE To the soldiers of The Red. White and Blue; I would like to apologize to you. With the sweat blood we feared your name; We forgot about what we were to gain. Our freedom rings true; Only because of the soldier that's in you. We took it all for granted, and filled you with shame; We are responsible, we will take the blame. Give us a chance, and you will see; We will give you the credit, where it is supposed to be. Thanks for fighting for you and me. I can't take away your pain and sorrow; But I promise we won't forget about you tomorrow. With Love and Respect, The United States of America.
