Physical Description2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship ring with a rectangular face that has an embedded center diamond surrounded by yellow sapphires and framed by alternating white and black diamonds. The brim of the ring has the championship information going around the edges. On the left side of the ring are the team sponsor logos. On the right side of the ring is "Obama 48" and the NASCAR Championship logo.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of a reception at the White House to honor the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion, Jimmie Johnson.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration.
