Physical Description
Physical DescriptionSand colored leather travel bag made of handmade leather with a natural wrinkled hide pattern, brown cloth interior. The bag has a single large pocket, two circular handles with a luggage tag hung from a belt loop and is divided into two sections with separate zippers, each with clasps with leather handles. The upper portion has adjustable buckles to expand the bag size. The lower portion has a reinforced base to maintain form and five metal feet on the bottom. The front side of the bag has a leather label inscribed with "Casa Lopez."
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of the 2009 G20 Summit in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
