Physical DescriptionA Copley CA-58N rosewood acoustic guitar. The guitar is inscribed "GAC, Great American Country, GAC.com" and is hand signed by numerous individuals. There is a certificate attached to the inside of the guitar.Historical NoteReceived during a 2009 White House country music event, "A Country Music Celebration", which was was held in the East Room of the White House. The event was part of the White House Summer Music Series and featured performances by Brad Paisley, Alison Krauss, and Charley Pride. The country music series was broadcast on the Great American Country television network and webcast.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
