White House reception to host members of the 2012 United States Olympic and Paralympic Teams. The US Olympic athletes left the 2012 Olympic Games in London with 105 total medals, including 48 gold medals, finishing at the top of the gold and overall medal standings. The US Paralympic athletes left the 2012 Paralympic Games with 97 total medals, including 31 gold medals.
