The North American Leaders' Summit (NALS) is a trilateral summit attended by the President of the United States, the President of Mexico, and the Prime Minister of Canada. For the 2012 NALS, President Barack Obama invited Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada and President Felipe Calderón of Mexico to Washington, DC on April 2, 2012. The three heads of state discussed job creation, cross-border trade, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, energy cooperation, and a unified response to the trans-national drug problem.
