The United States Naval Academy Football Team, known as the Navy Midshipmen, played its first football season in 1879. During the Obama administratin, the Midshipmen won the Commander-in-Chief's trophy and attended receptions at the White House in 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014, and 2016.
