Physical DescriptionBlack fountain pen (.a) with gold detailing and a gold and rhodium nib. The nib features an ornate spade-shaped design towards its tip. The cap (.b) is black with a gold clip and detailing. The clip is in the shape of an arrow with a feathered design towards its top. At the top of the cap is a gold plate featuring an ornate spade-shaped design and the word "DUOFOLD" beneath it.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of an official working visit to the White House by Prime Minister Gordon Brown of the United Kingdom and his wife, Sarah Brown, in March 2009. President Barack Obama kept this pen on the Resolute desk throughout his presidency.Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration.
