Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionRectangular purse made from the ixtle fiber with a woven purple flower that has a yellow center in the middle of the bag, yellow edging up the sides, and two handles. Bad closes with a purple loop over two plastic beads and has a white textile interior.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of a state visit to the White House by Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Mexican First Lady Margarita Zavala de Calderon in May 2010.Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to Malia and Sasha Obama during the Obama Administration.
