Formed in 1999, the goal of the G20 is to address issues related to the global economy and has had an annual summit, hosted by a member state, every year since 2008.
The eleventh G20 heads of government meeting was hosted by China from September 3 to September 5, 2016 in Hangzhou. The primary priorities of the summit, as dictated by the host nation, were innovative economic growth, macroeconomic policy coordination, interconnected global trade, and anti-corruption.
