For the first official state visit of the Obama administration, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India and his wife, Gursharan Kaur, to the White House. The agenda for the visit focused on strengthening the US-India partnership, global economic recovery, and climate change.
