First Lady Michelle Obama, Malia and Sasha Obama, and Marian Robinson traveled to Morocco in conjunction with the Let Girls Learn initiative on June 28, 2016. The First Lady participated in a discussion with teen girls about barriers to education for girls in the region. She also highlighted investments by USAID and the Millennium Challenge Corporation to support girls’ education in Morocco. The group attended an iftar dinner hosted by Princess lalla Salma at the Royal Palace.
