President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama traveled to Berlin, Germany for an official visit on June 18, 2013. The following day, President Obama met with President Joachim Gauck of Germany at Schloss Bellevue, held a joint press conference with Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Chancellery, and delivered an address at the Brandenburg Gate. That evening, President Obama and the First Lady were honored with a dinner and reception at Schloss Charlottenburg.
