The 2009 Strasbourg–Kehl Summit was a NATO summit of heads of state and heads of government held in Strasbourg, France, and in Kehl, Germany, on April 3 and April 4, 2009. The summit marked the 60th anniversary of the establishment of NATO. The agenda included the adoption of a Declaration on Alliance Security, discussion on Afghanistan, welcoming new NATO members Albania and Croatia, and NATO’s relations with Russia.
