President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama traveled to New Delhi, India on January 25, 2015. President Obama met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the US-India civil nuclear agreement, enhanced defense cooperation, and collaboration on tackling climate change. President Obama also attended a Republic Day jamboree, celebrating the adoption of India’s constitution in 1950, and spoke at a US-India Business Council Summit. President Obama and the First Lady were also honored with a State Dinner at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
