Let's Move! - First Lady's Visit to United Kingdom 20122012

First Lady Michelle Obama led a Presidential Delegation to the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London from July 26 to July 29, 2012, in conjunction with her Let's Move! initiative.

On July 27, 2012, the First Lady and the Presidential Delegation met with Team USA athletes, before hosting a Let’s Move! event for American military children and students. That evening, the First Lady attended a reception for Heads of State hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace, followed by the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games.

On July 28, 2012, First Lady Michelle Obama met with Samantha Cameron, wife of Prime Minister David Cameron. She spent the rest of the day cheering on Team USA at various sporting events. On July 29, 2012, the First Lady delivered remarks at a brunch at the Ambassador’s residence for the US Olympic Committee, US Olympic alumni athletes, and Team USA supporters.
