G20 Summit Los Cabos 20122012
The G20 (short for Group of 20) is an intergovernmental forum composed of most of the world's largest economies which encompasses 19 sovereign nations and the European Union. Formed in 1999, the goal of the G20 is to address issues related to the global economy and has had an annual summit, hosted by a member state, every year since 2008.
The seventh G20 heads of government meeting was hosted by Mexico on June 18 and June 19, 2012 in Los Cabos. The primary priorities of the summit, as dictated by the host nation, were economic stabilization, regulation of the financial system, food security, and sustainable development.
