China State Visit 20152015

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed President Xi Jinping of China and his wife, Madame Peng Liyuan to the White House for an official State Visit on September 25, 2015. The two heads of state held a bilateral meeting and participated in a joint press conference to discuss cybersecurity, climate change, economic ties, and recent maritime disputes. Meanwhile, the First Lady was joined by Madame Peng for a visit to the National Zoo, where they participated in a naming ceremony for a baby panda. President Xi was also honored with a State Dinner in the East Room of the White House.
